Bringing home the Gold
Last weekend the Irish Printing Industry gathered in Clontarf Castle to celebrate the 45th Irish Print Awards. We were thrilled to win three Gold awards in three categories. A big thank you to our wonderful clients who allowed us to submit their projects. See details below of our winning entries.
Tayto Park, Ireland’s largest and only theme park and zoo was rebranded as Emerald Park in January 2023. Our client had a big task on their hands to rebrand the entire signage throughout the park. They gave us that task to perform. Working closely with Emerald Park we took them through their initial designs with the use of photo montage visuals so could visualise the final result. All of the previous Tayto Park signage was printed on vinyl and mounted to various different substrates. It was old and outdated. To keep all the new signs looking consistent and to a high quality finish we recommended that the majority of the new signage should be printed directly onto die-bond aluminium material and laminated with a high gloss anti-graffiti laminate. For mounting the signs we also provided galvanised metal poles. Each pole was colour coded to the different zones within the park. The signage was installed by our team of experts on site and most importantly on time for the grand new opening. The result is a fully branded park, with signage that is uniform, clear and on brand. It leaves no doubt in the minds of visitors that it is the new Emerald Park.
Congrats guys, well deserved win!

Our client Global Media & Entertainment (Ireland) Limited wanted to wrap a double decker bus to promote the Cirque du Soleil show, drive interest and increase ticket sales. This involved a full wrap of a double decker bus using vehicle graphic materials, laminates and contra vision vinyl. The challenges included making sure the vinyl matched across all the different panels, fittings and contours of the bus including the windows. We also had to ensure that the colour was kept 100% consistent throughout the print. Pre-press is critical on this job. They need to ensure every section fits and is in the right place so it matches exactly during application.
The result is a visually striking bus, a very happy client and demand for tickets increased while the bus was in circulation on its route.
Our client working for Jameson Whiskey, wanted to run an online competition for their customers to win a custom-made bar for their home. They tasked us with designing and manufacturing the bar. The bar had to be functional and fun. The design had to be true to the Jameson Whiskey brand, easy to assemble and stable. We built several prototypes for approval before settling on the final design that worked both aesthetically and practically. The Bars were assembled by hand in Horizon Digital Print and delivered directly to the winners. The majority of the unit was built using Swedboard rigid paper boards. These boards are made from FSC Certified Paper making them 100% recyclable. The finished bar came in at 1800mm wide x 2100mm high. The final result was a highly impactful, premium looking bar that the competition winners were delighted with.
